Spring finally arrived and the rain fell.  Pink was the main color of blossoms at that time.  I took the girls to Bellingham for a hiking weekend and we had a wonderful time.  We hiked in the pouring rain and the girls and I could not stop laughing.  We took the long way- the back roads on our trip and drove up scenic Chuckanut drive.  We wound through the Skagit Valley and saw fields full of snow geese, what seemed like acre after acre of daffodils and old barns, horses, cows and hen.  It was a long and lovely ride back to Seattle.  We all had such a wonderful time, we did not want to come home.  I am still not sure if the lollipop tree near the hotel pool played a big part in the girls' enjoyment, but it was so much fun.

For the first time in my life- I really LOOKED at mangolia blossoms.  They are magnificent!  I was so sad when magnolia blossom time was over.  They were a joy.
